Admissions

Our promise is commitment. It is not about an outcome - it is a process, in a learning space where children grow and evolve as individuals, in their relationships with others, within themselves, and with the wider community. It is this journey to which we are committed.

Grades 1 & 11: Admissions are open.
Grades 2-9: Admissions are closed. However, parents are welcome to submit a form. Should a vacancy arise, enquiry forms will be reviewed for admission.

Links to the Application/Enquiry Forms are available further below. We encourage you to read the contents of this page to understand our admissions process and policies better. Kindly note that submitting an Admissions/Enquiry Form does not guarantee admission.

Choosing a learning environment for one’s child is a big step. We are happy to welcome children and parents who appreciate our philosophy and approach to learning. We suggest a visit so that you can see our campus first-hand and interact with a member of the faculty. To plan such a visit, parents may contact +91 9663535186 or email enquiries@headstart.edu.in

Our Admissions Process:

  • All application processes are done online exclusively via our Admissions Portal. We do not issue hard copies of our application forms.
  • Dates regarding the availability of online application forms will be announced on our website. Parents are requested to read and fill out the online application carefully.
  • Our Admissions Committee reviews the forms received and based on vacancies in the respective grades, invites the parents and the child for an in-person interaction on campus.
  • Children applying to Grades 4 to 9 and Grade 11 will also be asked to take a readiness test. This test is based on the applicant’s understanding of concepts from all subjects covered up until the current grade level. We understand that children from different educational backgrounds will respond based on their learning experience.
  • Our offer of admission is not based solely on the level of achievement in the test. We value all round development and the ability to apply learning. Through our review process we also try to ascertain the parent’s alignment with our philosophy so we can work together collaboratively.
  • The admissions process may take four to six weeks from the date of receipt of the application.

Our process is transparent. Selection is based entirely on vacancy and our ability to meet the needs of the child. We do not entertain external pressure, political or otherwise and any attempts to influence/pressurise admission decisions through letters and/or calls on behalf of applicants will not be appreciated.

Grades 4 to 9 (Integrated Curriculum)

The curriculum for Grades 4 to 8 is unique to HSEA with a blend of Montessori philosophy and vital elements from the Boards we are affiliated to. With a strong foundation in learning how to learn, how to apply knowledge, and analyse information and situations, our educators have discussions with each learner and their parents at the end of Grade 8 to decide on an exam board for Grades 9 & 10 (ICSE or IGCSE).

Grades 11 and 12 (AS & A Levels and ISC)

Our programmes for Grades 11 & 12 are rigorous ones, providing both challenge and opportunity for in-depth research and study. The focus is not just on preparing for graduating from high school, but on preparing for the future. With access to mentors for their selected subjects, counselling on career choices and our in-house College Ready programme, it is an enriching two years for all students. As this is a two year programme, we only admit students at the start of Grade 11.
